(#5310138) Result and winner of Competition no 14 - MM David littlefair XI
Posted by HeatherN on 26 Nov 2021 at 4:16PM
Here is a link to the competition:

Winner's Competition no 14 MM David littlefair XI

The answers were all correctly worked out/guessed by HeartOnFire

Here is David's poem in which the answers can be found:

Happy Anniversary

My beloved sweetheart you are my love
And all my heart sings in a Crove.
It has a name on it which is you
I am one of the perfect Dou

Question 1 asked for the name of the recipient of the card which is an anagram of three adjacent words in line two: "in a Crove"

The answer is Veronica

Question 2 asked for the number of years the couple have been married, which is the number of vowels in line four

The answer is 10 years

Question 3 asked for the name of the anniversary which can be found spelt backwards in one of the lines.

Line three contains the answer which can be found backwards in "It has a name o*n it* which is you.

The answer is tin which could have been arrived at after solving question 2 (or vice versa) if you knew or googled that a 10 year anniversary is tin.

Finally, Question 4 asked for the month they got married which can be found twice in line 1 as the word "my" appears twice in that line, and is May with the A missing.

So, the answer is May

I'm not sure that HeartOnFire worked out why May was the answer, but she gave me the correct answer by PM, which is good enough for me!

A specially-chosen token will be winging its way to her very soon.

Well done!
