March's winner is:
My Special Corned Beef and Cabbage Recipe
I usually buy 2 square cut corned beef in the package that usually has the spices already in it.
About 8 potatoes
6 carrots
2-3 heads of cabbage
Lots of Gulden's Mustard
Place the corned been in a 12 quart pot cover the corned beef with water, add the spice packets that have been opened and bring to a boil and then lower the heat so it simmers. Making sure that it's covered. I usually skim the ickie stuff from the top of it and throw it in the garbage disposer. Simmer it for 3 or 4 hours than peel the potatoes and carrots and if they are large then cut them in half and also cut the carrots diagonally into 1 inch pieces and add it to the pot. Cook for another hour and 45 minutes. While this is simmering cut the cabbages into quarters remembering to remove the core. After the hours and 45 , check to see if the potatoes are cooked. sometimes it takes only an hour depending on your stove. Than add the cabbage on the top of it and cover it and let it cook for about 15 minutes. I don't like my cabbage to be wilted but if you like it than cook it for another 5 minutes.
Remove all the veggies and place it on a big serving dish around it and leave the center open. Cover it with foil and place in a warm oven. Remove the corned beef and slice it to your desired thickness and remove the dish from the oven and place the corned been in the center of the veggies.
I usually make the Irish Soda bread with this:
4 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
2 cups Cold Buttermilk or regular
1 cup of raisins or currents soaked in 3 cups of water. Soaked for an hour or till raisins or currents have plumped up and drain the water out and let sit till ready to add to the dough
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (218 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease well; set aside.
In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in the plumped up raisins or currents and add in the buttermilk or Milk just until combined and it starts to become too stiff to stir. Transfer to work surface and with floured hands lightly knead the dough 5-10 times or until all the flour is moistened and the dough comes together.
Form dough into an 8″ round. Place on prepared pan and with a very sharp knife cut a 1/4″ deep X on the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

1. What brought you to GoldToken, and how'd you choose your name for GT?
- I had tried a few other turn-based game sites and a friend
suggested that I try this one. My name was going to be Jester 
on another site, but it was taken. I took Chester instead and kept it for GoldToken as well.
2. What interests you most on GT? Do you have a favorite game?
- I like to chat with some of the players during games. The discussion boards helped me deal with depression when I lived alone. My favorite games are Backgammon
and variants as well as Outbreak, 
Reversi and Pente.
3. What state or country do you reside in? What do you think tourists should definitely see?
- I live in Ontario,Canada. There are many great museums as well as Niagara Falls, Ottawa and cottage country up north.
4. What hobbies do you have?
- I have had many hobbies including leathercraft, cross-stitching and currently puzzles.
5. Children? Grandchildren?
- I have three
boys in their twenties. No grands yet.
6. Do you work? What kind of work do/did you do?
- I work in a printing plant, packing and shipping.

I joined this site in April 2005 and immediately loved it! I found friends that I still cherish. Unfortunately, I hit a really rough patch in my life and left GT for a few years. I was feeling a little down, a little bored and a little nostalgic... and GT popped into my head. So I came back to check it out - and HOLY WOW, it was like I had never left! I saw friends that I knew then, I found new friends that I really enjoy talking to every day, I found my home again.
Now my life is amazing once again! I have a husband that I adore, a job that I really like - and now I have a place for socializing, game playing, competition, and learning. I can't see me leaving this wonderful world again.
