You can always choose to upload your own, or you can check out the hundreds that are available on GoldToken. There's a list with a brief description of the available options on this wiki: [ Main: Background List of Contents ]. At the top of the wiki you'll find instructions to help you search for a particular subject. Once you find the location of the one you've chosen, go to your Profile and look for the "Background" field in the list and choose the "pick background from list" option.

We would like to say to ScatterBrain for letting us step into their personal life for a bit.

1. What brought you to GoldToken?

My sister - screen name CHRISTINE - asked me to join.

How'd you choose your name for GT?

When we were young, CHRISTINE drew a caricature of me with wild hair and eyes and labeled it SCATTERBRAIN. I still have the drawing.

2. What interests you most on GT?

What in your state or country do you think tourists should definitely see?

I live in northern New Mexico, USA.

The US has so many great and beautiful places so I'll just stick with Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I live. It's a tourist town and is the second oldest town in the USA, excluding the Native American pueblos. Santa Fe has a unique look / architecture, cuisine (mix of Native American, Spanish and Mexican), and culture. It also is one of the top art markets and tourist destinations in the USA. We're known for our cuisine. Come visit us. You won't be disappointed!

4. What hobbies do you have?

Photography, genealogy, history (mostly ), traveling & hiking

The For the Love of Draughts Club is celebrating Mr M. Borghetti's victory in the USA National 11 man Ballot Tournament. Mr Borghetti is now the world Champion of GAYP (Go As You Please-CHECKERS here at GT) , 3 Move Checkers ( RESTRICTION CHECKERS here at GT and now has won the USA 11 Man Ballot Title ( 11 MAN BALLOT here at GT. ).
The For the Love of Draughts Club is sponsoring a The May 2017 — The May 2017 — M. Borghetti 11-Man Ballot USA Victory Tournament Tournament open to anyone here at GT to celebrate.
As Mr Borghetti is also a Grand Master in Italian CHECKERS and is Italian the tournament has ITALIAN CHECKERS and the 11 MAN BALLOT checkers variant he just won.
So checker players within the club and at GoldToken are busily practicing these variants especially the Italian checkers which hasn't been played a great deal here.

Lisa's Front Porch Club has undergone a name change, to reflect owner Lisa Marie's love of teddy bears. It is now called The Lisa's Teddy Bear Picnic Club. Her favorites will be the new club mascots and be featured on the club's home page. She's even thinking of having a group photo album where members can post pictures of their own favorite stuffed friends. The club is having a membership drive and expanding their game offerings, as well. If you'd like to become a part of this cozy group, contact the owner Lisa Marie or any of the officers.

If you didn’t know any better, you might think that The Shire Club was based in rural England. Instead, willy , who lives in Uruguay, says “The name was chosen because my wife and I are fans of The Lord of The Rings (movies and books).” In fact, he says that’s what makes the club special, “I have tried to associate club games with TLOTR movies, I think that is what makes it unique.” And the members appreciate this, with “...some players called TLOTR characters like Gandalf, Arwen.”
He remembered “The club remains very similar to when it started in November 2006.. Some games have been added but in essence it remains the same …” The club plays a variety of games, “There are many types of games in the club, but perhaps I would have to add some new ones and remove others that are not played as much.”
As for the future, willy is considering “I plan to incorporate new games and perhaps some challenges for prizes.I was also thinking of organizing a monthly challenge for those who turn that year..” And he welcomes everyone, being flexible about the role of members “The club is open to anyone and is open to new ideas.” He continues, “The good thing about having a club is that you can meet a lot of people and help them in whatever they need to participate in tournaments and challenges.” That sort of attitude makes The Shire Club a very friendly place.
