• Change to Whist and Variants

This very exciting news was posted by Mecir earlier this month: We're pleased to announce a change to the Whist game and its variants - from now on, when a player times out or is otherwise removed from the game, the current round will be restarted instead of continuing with an incomplete player list.

This should prevent some issues that arose when some cards were removed from play mid-round.

Site tips and helpful tools

I see something called a "Wiki Hotlist" on my gamesheet and in my clubs. What is it?

Your Wiki Hotlist is a list of all the wikis you have subscribed to in order to be notified of changes made to those wikis. To subscribe to a wiki and be notified of changes, look for the "Add to my Wiki Hotlist" link in the "Wiki Options" box on any wiki. There are separate hotlists for the main site wikis (such as [ Main: Goldies - Everyone ]) and for each club you belong to. Club wiki hotlists can be accessed while you're inside a particular club.

Best Recipe Contest

May's winner is: Brunch Casserole

• Submitted by firstjenn

Ingredients

l lb. sausage, cooked,
1/2 c. graded cheese
green chilies if desired
cooked hash brown potatoes if desired.
6 eggs, ready to scramble with 1 C. milk,
6 slices of toast, buttered, buttered side down on 9 x 13" Pyrex dish.

Place the buttered side of toast down, next layer cooked sausage, cheese, green chilies, cooked hash browns, salt and pepper. pour eggs /milk mixture over layered items. Add a little cheese on top, cover and place in refrigerator until ready to cook it (over night is fine). Cook at 300 - 40 minutes, let stand 10 minutes. Cut in squares and serve.

We would like to say to johnnyyboy for letting us step into their personal life for a bit.


1. What brought you to GoldToken?
How'd you choose your name for GT?

a friend on IYT told me about this great site. I chose my name as JohnnyBoy but found it already taken so I added another 'y' to get to johnnyyboy

2. What interests you most on GT?

I like the clubs mostly, I set up and run on averege 300 to 400 Wiki tourneys in numerous clubs.

3. What country do you reside in?
What in your state or country do you think tourists should definitely see?

I live in the UK Great Britain in the county of Yorkshire, England. Being a loyal born and bred Yorkshireman i would say Yorkshire. Then I do love Scotland to visit.

4. What hobbies do you have?

The internet game sites ( I am a member of a number of game sites ). Local Politics.

5. Children? Grandchildren?

3 Adult Children 2 married, 1 with our 2 small Granddaughters.

6. Do you work? what kind of work do/did you do?

Retired ex local council worker.

7. Any pets?

We did have a dog a few years back but when he passed away. It hurt too much so we did not get another.

8. Are you under 30?___ 30 to 50? ___ or over 50?

Over 60, Male

9. What's the farthest you've been from home?

Isle of Skye, just off the coast of Scotland.

10. If you could be anywhere right now where would that be?

Sheffield, England were my granddaughters live.

11. Favorite season?

Spring

Any John Wayne Movie. John Wayne.

The Beatles (2 are no longer with us).

The PINK Club is the brainchild of Kookaburra, a chess and checkers club devoted exclusively to women. Not that they want to be gender exclusive, but the growing number of women participating in both online and actual chess and checker tournaments allows an unusual and unique niche for the women at GoldToken. They have grown quickly, with an active and engaged membership that drives the club. It all started on March 15th, and in that short time period they have seen unprecedented growth in both their dice chess and giveaway teams, and many fellow club owners have both issued and accepted challenges to The PINK Club club so they can be active participants in the match process.
