Walnut Tassies
Ingredients
1/2 pound sweet butter
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cups all-purpose flour
Filling:
1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
3 tablespoons butter, melted
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Beat sweet butter and cream cheese together in a bowl with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually stir flour into butter until forming a dough. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place into 3/4-inch muffin cups. Press dough into the bottom and sides of each muffin cup.
Mix brown sugar, walnuts, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract together in a separate bowl. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of walnut filling into the dough cups.
Bake in the preheated oven until edges of cookies are lightly browned and filling is cooked through, about 25 minutes.
I always make a double batch of these and I've purchased the small muffin tins that have 24 muffin cups in each sheet as it makes it easier to fill. I usually spray the tops of the pans so in case I drip it onto the pan it comes off easily. I also got a wooden press from the Pampered Chef that you flour and press the cream cheese crust evenly. I used to have very long nails and it used to cut holes into the dough.
These have been a hit in my baking baskets for the past 40 years. Making them this weekend with my granddaughter.

LittleTree has been hosting "fun with screen names". Some of these have been real brain teasers. Meet Your GT Family is really fun, getting to put faces to the names of the family in here.

We would like to say
to
Kiwi for letting us step into her personal life for a bit.
1. What brought you to GoldToken, and how'd you choose your name for GT?
- I was invited by a player on another site and given a free trial membership. Of course I loved it here and now I don't play on any other sites.
- My GT name reflects the country I come from. New Zealanders are also known as Kiwis. A Kiwi is a flightless bird native to NZ and New Zealand is also known for the Kiwifruit it produces.
2. What interests you most on GT? Do you have a favorite game?
- I love being able to play tournaments. I don't have one favorite game. I really enjoy dice
and card games, I'm definitely not a chess player. 
3. What state or country do you reside in? What in your state or country do you think tourists should definitely see?
- I live in New Zealand { Image: www.animatedimages.org/data/media/840/animated-new-zealand-flag-image-0006.gif }, it's a fantastic country with so much to see from forests to glaciers, thermal regions, open country and mountains. There's something for everyone here and the people are really friendly. I think top tourist places to visit would be the thermal regions around Rotorua and Taupo, the limestone caves and glow worms at Waitomo, the Marlborough Sounds and whale watching in Kaikoura.
4. What hobbies do you have?
- My dogs are my obsession, I show and breed Leonbergers.
I also do pottery and ceramics. 
5. Children? Grandchildren?
- One child, a boy
who will soon be getting married. 
6. Do you work? What kind of work do/did you do?
- I am officially a farmer
although that's mostly my husbands domain, I have trained as both a nurse 
and a vet nurse but I've had to give that up recently.I sell some pottery too.
7. Any pets?

- Over 50 female
9. What's the farthest you've been from home?
- I've been to California and Vietnam and Cambodia (I'm not sure which is further away)
10. If you could be anywhere right now where would that be?
- Relaxing by the sea in Greece
11. Favorite TV show?
12. If you could meet anyone (living or dead) in the world, who would it be ?
- My grandmother, she was an amazing lady.

I began playing at GoldToken in 2011 because of the checkers games here. I enjoy playing checkers but could not find many local games. I was very impressed with the number of top-level checkers players here, and especially how friendly they are. So many brilliant players were willing to talk to me, a novice at the game, about strategy, checkers books, and the culture of the game. After a bit I expanded to other game types such as pente and its variants, all aboard, and dominoes, just to name a few. I am not the chattiest player here, not by a long shot, but I do enjoy conversing with players about common interests. I have made a number of friends here and that surprised me because I am not a very social person usually.
So I initially came to the site for the games, but I stayed here, and expanded the games which I play, because of the fine people who play here. I would really hope that everyone who plays here has had as much of a positive experience as I have had. This is a wonderful gaming community and I am thankful to be a part of it.

Sallyp and Friends Club,
johnnyyboy will be putting up at 12PM 31st December (1 minute past) some more games. Also a few more Gammon tourneys will be added later in January. It will be part of a series of tourneys he will be doing during 2019. Each tourney will have a point score for the winners and seconds, all adding up 'til all the tourneys are finished. The overall point winner will get a 10
token prize.
