(#5623223) Moultezim rules
Posted by Jools on 11 Aug 2024 at 1:47PM Moultezim has come up as an Olympic mystery game, so just reminding myself of the rules. As stated: A player's men may only move one direction around the board, with each player moving counter-clockwise. However the picture is incorrect and shows each player going in different directions, the white arrow should go the other way { image: www.goldtoken.com/images/games/rules-boards/BackVMoult.png } (#5599091) Re: Backgammon tournament timeout rule
Posted by Nukhulls on 30 Apr 2024 at 3:55PM Thanks for clarifying. That makes sense. Looks like I'm not in any "no days off" tournaments so all good!

Posted by TheWall on 30 Apr 2024 at 1:08PM Mine is even worse. We have 2 nackgammon and 2 backgammon games with 9 points. She has played only four moves in a month, every Sunday.

Posted by IamNobody on 30 Apr 2024 at 1:02PM Hi, I also have this problem. A man has only 12 games and plays every day, but does not move in our game, because this is the last move and he will lose. Really childish! (#5599052) Reporting a complaint
Posted by TheWall on 30 Apr 2024 at 12:48PM Hello, I have a complaint about a member. Is there anyone I can report this to? Sort of a cheat, changing vacation days to avoid time-outs twice a week. (#5599014) Re: Backgammon tournament timeout rule

Posted by wallywalter on 30 Apr 2024 at 1:24AM Hi, If you play a tournament “no days off” or “no vacation days”, then you can't have vacation days or days off. When you play a tournament without these rules, you can take five vacation days (for example) and add these days to your days off, and in this way you will have a whole week where you won't play and you won't loose. If there is a limit to complete all moves, like in the Olympics, all your days off and all your vacation days will be counted like they were normal days, and so if you take 40 vacation days in a 60 days game, you will have 20 days to complete the game. I hope to have been helpful, forgive my language I'm italian and I try to do my best. Bye (#5598929) Backgammon tournament timeout rule
Posted by Nukhulls on 29 Apr 2024 at 7:34PM Hi all, I'm in a couple of bg tournaments and have a question about tournament timeout rules. Do vacation days count towards the clock? The reason I'm asking is I'm planning on going on holiday for a week and will have no internet access. Will the time limit be extended by 7 days if I set vacation days for the full week? So in a 1 day tournament can you get back to it a week later and not time out? What if there is a limit to complete all moves? Do vacation days add to that time? Thanks for your help! (#5597619) Tabula rules
Posted by Big Lie Small World on 24 Apr 2024 at 1:26AM Is it actually a rule in Tabula that you have to use all dice if possible? It says that it is, but it's in the section that's copy/pasted from the backgammon rules, not in the 'differences from backgammon section', which is the only place that the three dice are mentioned. I'm asking because if it is a rule, the game is not enforcing it, unless there is something else in the rules that I'm missing. Are we supposed to use the honor system for that one?
