Yes oldog, you are 100% correct! A year ago I lost my Baby Doberman Bigboy 1 to his 95 (human years.) He passed painlessly with his eyes still open! A fellow cop had just lost his Shepard the same way. HE said to me, "Mourne you pal as if he was a human for 7-10 days and then get yourself a NEW dog!" I did just that and rescued a little terrier from the pound and I named him Bigboy 2. It gave me a brand new lease on the situation and a lot of comfort along with that!
