In April & May, we going to give you 2, yes 2, tokens for each poll used during those 2 months.
The best part... You get to choose which ones you want, they just can't be ones you already have.
The rules are pretty standard, same as always. It can't have been done before, and you need to supply not just the question but several answers. We reserve the right to revamp the question and add/take away answers.

Other than that, submit those polls to the Pollmaster and make it soon before someone submits your idea first.

(#5581131) Re: Dinner ? Supper ?
Posted by Ziggy Zugzwang on 21 Feb 2024 at 6:36AM
As people have said, "dinner" is usually the evening meal. But with the vast bulk of British working class people — although changing now — "dinner" was usually the midday meal. "Lunch" has been in increasing usage over the last half century. Although I knew of the word as youngster — probably from TV — I recall hearing it for the first time from a scout leader. I was sufficiently astonished by its usage to remember it even now.

The midday meal school supervisory staff are called "dinner ladies", although I presume "inclusiveness" has changed that. The evening meal in ordinary parlance is often confusingly referred to as "tea"...

I regard calling the evening meal “dinner” as something of a middleclass affectation, and so simply refer to my last main meal as my “evening meal”…
