I love the movie Wizard of Oz, do you? And if so, who is your favorite character? And do you remember how old you were when you first saw it?

My favorite character in the Wizard of Oz is ... the Wizard of Oz.
He thinks he has nothing to offer the four who seek his help.
He puts on an act which really isn't him and tries to scare them away.
When the moment of truth comes however he reaches deeply inward into the bumbling old fool that he is and finds himself more capable than he ever dreamed of. He comes up with exactly what they each need.

My favorite character rendition in the movie is however a tie between Ray Bolger as "The Scarecrow" and Margaret Hamilton as "The Wicked Witch of the West".

I was probbably around 5 when I first saw it.

I saw the Wizard of OZ for the first time when I was about 5 years old.... I got nightmares from it because of the flying monkeys... I refused to watch it again until I was almost 11 years old... My favorite character is the Scarecrow...
