October's winner is:
Old Fashioned Apple Pie
Ingredients:
8 cups of sliced Granny Smith Apples (like the tartness have used Red Delicious)
3/4 cup of sugar (can use Splenda)
3 tablespoons of Cinnamon
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup flour
2 9 inch pie crusts (Recipe to follow)
9 inch deep dish pie plate
Method:
put sliced apples in a large bowl, add the sugar cinnamon, flour and lemon juice and stir well to allow everything to blend together.
Place apple Mixture into the pie dish with the crust (do not bake). Pile the apples in the dish and place the 3 tablespoons of butter on the top of it. Then place the second crust on the top of the apples being careful to get it centered. Then pinch the crust edges with your thumb and index finger around the entire edge to seal the two crusts together.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake it for 50-60 minutes making sure the bottom crust is cooked, (I use pyrex glass pie dishes..
Two pie crust recipe:
2 cups regular flour
3/4 cup of Butter flavor Crisco
1 tablespoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 oz. of cold water (I measure it with a bathroom dixie cup) it equals 6 tablespoons cold water
I use my Kitchenaid mixer and place the flour sugar, salt and Crisco in the bowl and Mix it till it becomes pea like (well blended) then add the cold water and mix till it forms a ball. After all is mixed properly then remove it from the bowl and softly form a roll and cut it in half. I use a pastry sheet and rolling pin, but you can roll it out on parchment paper and make it 2 inches wider then the pie dish. Place the crust on the bottom part of the dish and form it so it's even and no cuts in it.

1. What brought you to GoldToken, and how'd you choose your name for GT?
- A friend played here and so as I love games I joined, my name came from a brooch I have of a ladybird and the children where I worked in school always called me ladybird lady. 25 is my birthday.
2. What interests you most on GT? Do you have a favorite game?
- I like to try different games but my all time favourite is backgammon in any form.
3. What state or country do you reside in? What do you think tourists should definitely see?
- I live in England, a small village with lots of very old houses.
Tourists should see the great countryside and houses, we have some lovely small villages.
4. What hobbies do you have?
- I have many hobbies, I have been making cards
for many years as well as doing cross stitch, jewellery making, candle making, 
gardening 
and reading to name a few. 
5. Children? Grandchildren?
- I have 2 children, a son
and a daughter 
, and I have 5 wonderful grandchildren, 4 girls 
and 1 boy 
, aged from 7 to 14.
6. Do you work? What kind of work do/did you do?
- I don't work now but I worked in retail for many years before starting work as a teaching assistant
in schools which I did till I stopped working, it was a job I loved and it never felt like work.
7. Any pets?
- No pets now but have had cats

- It was my 60th birthday in August
9. Favorite food?
- No favourite food, I enjoy most food

- Furthest I have been is to Europe so far!

- I think as weather is changing for winter

Hello, my name is Linda though I go by z71cat. I came by my name because I bought a brand new 1993 Z71 chevy truck, which I still have. I ran a small sign shop out of my home at the time and my sister (Pinksmoke) and I created a leopard graphic for the tailgate. People used to say I know that truck because of the cat on it. Thus z71cat was born. I came to GT thru my sister. When I retired I wanted a place to play cribbage. She encouraged me to join, so I did. I love to play cribbage but enjoy tourne-case, 5's and 3's, short 1-4-5- senet, and american rummikub. I play some others but cribbage remains my favorite. I live in Michigan about 2 miles from the fruit farm I grew up on. It was a wonderful way to grow up and taught us a work ethic and what family means. I have 2 children, both boys and 2 grandchildren, 1 boy, 1 girl. I live with my sister as we are both widows and we are best friends. We have 2 cats and are their servants LOL. I love all cats, big and small. You can find me in a number of clubs, Scoops, Premiere cribbage club, save our earth plus a few more. Feel free to come visit my profile or just say hi. About the Game
In this game of skill and luck, you play as an archeologist racing to be the first expedition to excavate and retrieve lost relics. Block your opponents, redirect them, and use special tiles in your mission to be the first to claim your prizes and win! But beware - ancient dangers sometimes lurk in the sand….
This game is designed to be learned as you play. The rules are learned quickly if you follow along during your first few turns.
This game is recommended for ages 8+ and is for 2-4 players.
Objective
The objective of the game is to locate and retrieve the hidden relics that your expedition assigns you to find. Retrieve two to win the game!
