I'm not really into computers; I'm more a person who uses a computer to get to the Internet. All those programs and applications are so many headaches. I started out a dozen years ago with Webtv and I discovered I liked to surf the Internet, albeit a very slow ride way back then. The things I enjoyed the most were looking at pictures of deep space and other scientific type stuff; having email for the first time in my life and sharing stories, thoughts and family pictures; and playing Chess on line.
I stumbled across this cool little search engine called Google. I typed in "on-line chess" and I got.... sorry, 'It's Your Turn'.
Well, it was pretty cool being able to play Chess on line vs. strangers from around the world. I really enjoyed my time there.
One day in early 2001, an opponent at IYT asked me if I had heard of goldtoken.com. He said he played at both sites as well as several others that I no longer even remember the names. Well, soon after, I became a member of Gold Token and I immediately saw that Gold Token was a much better site, much easier to navigate and a friendlier atmosphere.
, the creator, seemed like a really cool dude who really cared about this game site and all the members. Soon after, I quit IYT and stopped searching for new game sites.
All these years later Gold Token has evolved into the best game site on the Internet and Mary, aka
, has lead a team of geniuses who really know how to continue the tradition.
