As we go through the change of seasons, some of us are enjoying warm sunshine while others are preparing for winter. What ever your case, it is always the perfect season for gaming on GoldToken! For July's news, I am pleased to announce these site updates:
to Mecir, the long awaited profile improvements, that allow members to personalize them, have been added. Our new View a Random Player link, located in the game sheet Options box, will surely make it easy to see what other players are doing to dress up their profiles. Be sure to test it out and vote for your favorites!
- Most exciting, Mecir added a number of Head-to-Head improvements to GoldToken's instant playing system, including HTH open invites. Games that supported GoldToken's Head-to-Head previously still support HTH as they did. The remaining games that were added now support a limited HTH mode.
- Gold and Platinum members can now add a custom signature to their messages! Get ready for a custom signature contest coming in August!
- State flags are now available as Name Icons, to the creative abilities of GoneFishin! Be sure to send him a note of appreciation!

This month GOLDTOKEN would like to send out a to
I started playing at GoldToken in 2002. At that time, my daughter found the site and we played and chatted together every day. At first, I just knew backgammon but over time have learned to play multiple games as they came on site. The beauty of GoldToken is the wide range of players and the willingness of others to help people learn new games.
I am fortunate to be retired now and live in an RV park in Florida 6 months a year and travel the country the rest of the year. I use a MiFi Unit ( it's been great all over the country ) so I'm always in touch with my family ( both actual family and GoldToken ).
My favorite games here are all varieties of Outbreak and I'm now President of The
GERM WARFARE Club, which includes many of the top Outbreak players on this site. I'm also VP of the { Club } and had a nice meeting last spring with the President,
funtobewith11 under his giant fig tree! I hope to meet some others in the future.
My other favorite activity here is the
Photozone. I love to take pictures on my travels and post here every month.
FixitDave does a great job with that project.
Besides my love of golf ( I started playing at age 12 ), I love all the major sports, particularly the Orlando Magic and Green Bay Packers. We have some wonderful discussions here on the
Sports Central and I would encourage anyone with similar interests to join in our "lively" discussions. Even though we seldom agree on favorite teams,
Robyn Hode &
JerNYC are great sparring partners there.

I used to play at IYT. I never knew about GoldToken until a friend over there told me about this site. They convinced me to try it and I am so glad that I did.
I started playing at GoldToken shortly after I lost my husband to cancer a few years ago, all the wonderful people that I met here helped me in so many different ways to deal with that.
GoldToken is a wonderful family and I thank God for the day that I played my first game here. I cannot imagine a day without my family at GoldToken!!

We might feature Gammon games one month, Card games the next, and this month we have set up a variety of different games that perhaps some members don't play that often.
We also take part in the Club vs. Club tourneys each month and challenge other clubs to games.
