Replaying professional games can improve your game, but more important: It's exciting to see two strong players fight on the board.

The strongest professionals come from China and South Korea. There are many young professionals in both China and South Korea playing at a very high level, so it's hard to say who's the best player. Many consider Gu Li as China's top player and South Korea's best master is Lee Sedol. Both are known for their fighting spirit.

In the recent years, the performance of the Japanese players was disappointing. Fortunately, there's a new rising star from Japan named Iyama Yuta.

I would like to share a few links where you can find information about professional games.
- http://wbaduk.com/ WBaduk is a real-time game server. Professional games are broadcasted live on this server and usually remain available on the server for at least 24 hours. You need to download a client program from the website and create an account.
- http://go4go.net/v2 This website has a huge database of games and is updated daily. You can search the database.
- http://igokisen.web.fc2.com/news.html This website gives a good overview of the ongoing tournaments. It also has the SGF's of the games, which you can download.

Games on the internet are usually stored in the Smart Game Format (with the extension .sgf). There are many free sgf-readers. One of them is Drago (http://www.godrago.net/).
