Parcheesi

Parcheesi is an American version of the Ancient game of Pachisi, the national game of India, in which you race around a track on the game board, attempting to block your opponents while moving your markers to the goal. The game is also known as Pachisi, Parchisi, Parchesi, and Twenty-Five, and is a descendent of the older game of Chaupar.

This a great game, I remember laying the board out on the living floor or the kitchen table and playing it for hours with friends. Use the safe spaces as often as you can because you can’t be sent back to your starting place if you are on one of them. If some one land on you on a regular space they send you back to your starting place and they get to go 10 more spaces. If you build a blockade try to do it on a safe space that way when you break up your blockade wait till you have a large number them move only one piece leaving the other on the safe space. Note for the color blind and visually inpaired may be the pieces could also have different shapes like Stars, triangles, square and round.
