How to use Head-to-head

Wonderful news. Trumpet player right Head-to-Head gaming is here.
This is how it will work on GT.
  • You can play your game completely as you normally would. Taking turns and having time in between moves.
  • You can play your game completely head-to-head.
    • For this your opponent must be online. Check the box that says "Stay on game after move". (This only appears when it's your turn.)
    • Your page will then be refreshed every 10 seconds or so. When your opponent moves you will see their updated position on your board. You may experiment with your move, it will only be saved when you click "save move" as normal (Useful for Grabble players etc.). Your opponent will not see your 'experiments'.
  • You can do a mixture of both. If you have started a turn based game and your opponent comes online, you can then switch to head-to-head mode. If one of you leaves, the game will automatically revert to turn based mode.
  • Currently this is only available for checkers, but will soon be available for many other games.
  • If you do not wish to use this feature then you can disable it in 'Adjust graphics' at the bottom of the page... uncheck 'Enable head-to-head support.'
  • Messages may be added at any time during the game, whether it's your turn or not. They will be almost instantly updated. Notes too may be added at any time.
  • Enjoy! Thumbs up
