Paraprosdokian Sentences - A Game to Complete the sentence in the form of a Paraprosdokian sentence - Hosted by MM David littlefair XI
Please read the Discussion Board Rules before participating in the discussion boards.
A Paraprosdokian sentence is known as “A figure of speech where the last part of the sentence or phrase has a surprising or unexpected ending.” The last part of the sentence in this game should be as humorous or dramatic as possible.

Here are a few examples of famous Paraprosodokian Sentences.
  1. Where there’s a will, I want to be in it.
  2. Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
  3. She got her good looks from her father; he’s a plastic surgeon.— Quoted by Groucho Marx

MM David littlefair XI will post the first part of a sentence.

To enter, just post your entries on the board with the first part of the sentence in the subject line.

Fortnightly, assuming there are enough entries, a poll will be set up so that you can choose the one you like best.
