If you are not a crafter, have a look online see what takes your fancy.

(#5716716) Pear turkeys
Posted by Jools on 13 Oct 2025 at 10:05PM
As it's Thanksgiving here in Canada today, I thought I would look for something suitable

Get the whole family involved in your Thanksgiving craft decorations with these festive pear turkeys. Display them in a row on a mantel or use them as place card holders for your family's feast.

You will need:

  • Fake pears
  • Fake leaves
  • Glue gun
  • Glue stick
  • Black permanent marker
  • Orange and red scrapbook paper
  • Scissors

To make:

  1. Apply glue from the glue gun to the lower front section of one leaf. Hold it in place on the back of the pear.
  2. Use a black permanent marker to draw two eyes.
  3. Cut a small triangle out of orange scrapbook paper for a beak and a piece of red for the wattle. Glue both in place using the glue stick.
