Lots of extra "draw bone, pass" moves in the histories, but the function of new moves does seem to be working better.

That said, I do see a number of cases where the flow seems to have allowed my opponent to do 2 moves in a row, even when I had the capability for a legal move. 14939994 is an example of that, but there are others.

Also still seeing the weird scoring behavior as reported by Goldilocks on other dominoes games.

«I am trying to create a sitewide tournament that starts on 2.Mar.2026, but despite entering 2.Mar.2026 several times, it always ends up being 1.Mar.2026.
I have no control over the start date.

I thought I had posted this possible-bug report yesterday, but I can't find it today so I am reentering it.
I have also found that I can control the date by entering the date for the next day, which then gets set back one day on the tournament webpage.
This is why the correct starting dates are now showing on all my new tourneys for March 2026.
I don't know whether this works for the last day of the month.
The tournays I have just created are #14728–14734.
My workaround sort of works, but it is confusing and begging for problems.
Can this situation be fixed?

I'm seeing some scoring strangeness in these games, too.
In one case, the game looked ok and scored looked right, but I made a move (didn't end the round) and saved it, and the scores for both players jumped significantly to over 100 each.

My Domino games are giving me hundreds of points or when I do win, says my opponent has the next move. Don't know what's going but I believe all domino games need to be looked at.

The list of "draw bone, pass" moves seems incorrect. Blows thru the whole boneyard before resetting.

Many of my Mexican Train games are behaving weirdly. When I go in to take a turn, the move list shows both players have had to draw bone & pass many times, although those tiles are not in my hand. Sometimes my train is marked for no reason and the other player has played on it. I try to go back through the moves list, but it acts weird, showing many tiles that I have never had and they disappear when I go back to the current move.

Not all of my games are doing this but quite a few. Here is one of them #14925663.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I have never noticed a problem like this before.

I personally think it should only apply in emergencies when a person hasn't been able to play for a day, if they make a move during that day it should be disabled. Some players use it where they have too many games, so will play some games but allow others to auto-reset. That's abuse of the system

Its an option to use if you want. I personally do not use it. I do not want someone to end up in the situation of a game seeming to never end. I am viewing this as a game in a tournament, which most of them are. Whether it is a wiki or automatic tournament, it holds it up for everyone. Its just a game, no dire circumstances will happen if it times out, it happens, I say let it be.

Personally I hate the 24h jump effect when it's done to me so I try not to do it to others. I have the auto vacation enabled but it's only for emergencies. Whenever I go on vacation I set in advance my days and leave a fat comment on my profile giving an expected return date.

I'm platinum, too. I have it set for automatic day off, but, thank the good Lord I have never had to use it. But it is there in case of emergency and I can't get to my computer. It is a safety net and should only be used that way. Like anything else, though, sometimes people may abuse that feature.

Like you Carolina Panther is Platinum and most likely has automatic vacation days. He last played on Nov 14th. For whatever reason, he's been off site for most of a week.
To the best of my knowledge, the automatic day off just kicks in on a day by day basis. 

Way back when, when I was very ill, I only had friendly games going and I had it engaged so the games wouldn't disappear, but I don't recall any visibility of that engagement.

Thanks Bill Roupas for chiming in. There is no vacation day currently scheduled on the player's profile, although on previous timeout resets there were. Also, I do not see any provision for "automatic vacation days" on the Platinum membership description.

#14851703 Opponent's move has timed out repeatedly over the past months and seems to always reset to 24 hours. Frequently I note that opponent has set another vacation day for that day, which explains the reset. Today however, when I checked status there is no vacation day set and yet the timeout resulted in another 24 hour move clock. Can anyone explain?

Seems to working OK now - I just couldn't connect to the server at all but when eventually I could I had 6 messages (in my inbox) all about the end of the same game sent at exactly the same time. I assume this is connected. No problems now though. Thanks Mecir

The only thing I can think is that since the last tile was played, and there is not another round to be played, the leader wins the game regardless of the 2 point rule. That little bit should be wrote into the rules for the ending of a game.

I don't understand why the system gave me the win in #14916616. We went to the end of the tile set, all 125 tiles are played. At the end of the last round I have 1 point more than RaeRae, but I should need a 2 point advantage to score a win. In the rules I see no exception for a round which ends "in the middle" because all the tiles are gone. Could someone else have a look, please?

The explanations provided by others is correct, so I will just confirm that this is indeed correct behavior (and also a rather interesting corner case). When the round ends, the player(s) with the lowest pip count get a point. The bone count doesn't matter, only the pip count does. Typically this comes into play when the round ends because nobody can place a bone, but in this case one player was left with a 0-0 bone, triggering the same rule.

I'll look into clarifying this in the rules, but it is not a bug.

Let me see if this explains the rule better. 1st of all, you don't get a point for playing your last bone. It only ends the round. Then, you count the pips in each hand. In this case both hands had no pips. So therefor each player gets a point. One player went from 53 to 54. The other player went from 60 to 61 ending the game. It is perfectly clear to me that playing your last bone does not give you a point. Playing your last bone will give you a point if the other player has a bone that has pips on it.

The round ended there and then when I placed the last bone in my hand. It should not matter the amount of bones or pips/dots in the opponent’s hand, the only thing that should matter - they had SOMETHING left in their hand. They should have had a point.

The rules to me are clear, and the game did not go according to the rules, so I would liken to escalate this matter further - how do I go about it?

That doesn't quite match "official" rules. Although generally true a player who places their final bone should automatically get the point, the above points only apply when all player still hold bones. You could argue if more than one player has the lowest score they score each get 1 pt, the rules don't cover what happens in that case.
If round ends with one player holding a 3-0 and the other 2-1, who gets the point?

I complain often when the rules state one thing and the game is implemented differently. But that's not the case here. read the rules, section Round End :

A round ends when one player plays the final bone in his or her hand, or when the boneyard is empty and no player has a valid play. At that time, the player with the fewest points on the bones in his or her hand is the winner of the round. That player scores one point.


The only thing wrong here is that it doesn't say what happens when both players have the same number of points. Giving both a point is more logical since this game can be played by more than 2, but the rules should say so.

Well, that’s just wrong. Rare or not - the person who still has bones left, irrespective of number of dots on those bones, should not get a bonus point, only person who managed to get rid of all off their bones. I am very irked by “it’s kinda working” because it clearly isn’t.

No, because a round may end with both players still have bones. Giving the extra point to the one with the lower count makes sense.

Confusion with one player out and the other with zero count is hyper rare. No reason to tinker with a working software.

Looking at the "official" 5&3 rules, GT plays the British version as we don't use -ve points at round end a play to 61 points rather than fixed number if rounds.
In this version whoever "dominoes" out (uses all their bones) should get the bonus point irrespective of what their opponents hold. Number of pips left only applies if the round ends with pall players holding bones

This is very rare but has happened before. The extra point is given to the one with the lowest count of points.
In your game it is you with no bones, count zero, and also to your opponent, with one bone 0-0, also zero.

What if they revamped the game. Cut out the highlight move. Cut out the extra points for all same number. Cut out the minus points if you have to draw. Make it a simple game of matching numbers and the 1st to a set number of points win. I think the simpler game would be an enjoyable game. Any ideas out there?

as has been explained by Tomas. GT ids being targeted by DDoS attacks. The purpose of these is overload the servers and cause the site to slow down or completely freeze.
Whilst measures can be put in place to block these attacks, hackers often find another way round so it's likely to keep slowing up until they get bored of attacking the site.
Why they are targeting GT is a bit baffling unless they are trying to extort money

Valud tiles should be highlighted green.
I don't think the selection is the problem, but not having a valid tiles on your opening move. The rules state your highest sum tile is you don't have a triple, so it's impossible not to have one

In the rules there's written “ During the first turn of a round, the player must place the qualifying tile - that is, the same-number one or the highest sum one” and so it seems impossible that I don't have a qualifying tile.

First, R:64-58-10-15-63 (or 14-62).
Then (either way), W:57-64-24-8 WW.

You may be trying to force 58-2 or something similar on your second jump to avoid the loss.
Can't do it—I'm sorry.
You must take all your jumps.

On turn 27 I've a forced move to take my opponent's king on square 59 and then his piece on square 50, but my king is stuck on square 58 unable to complete the move. I don't know if this is an error on my part or a glitch in the game.

The game sheet appears to indicate I've completed the move and advises me to save the move and go to the next game.

I agree with this complaint.
I do have the size-adjustment option, but the screen is normally huge to the point of being ridiculous.
It should be somewhat comparable to the other games here.
I am trying to promote Nine Men's Morris here at GoldToken and thereby promote the game site too, but this problem is working against me.
I think a lot of players here play on an iPad.
Attention to this problem would be appreciated.

In game #14733959, we both had the same hand and split the 114 stones. However rather than another hand, it showed my opponent winning although I should have the 114 stones. Seems like a coding error as I never did go to "0". Thanks for looking at it.
