I Just Don't Understand People
I'm about to sound a lot older than I actually am. I can remember when VCR's came out and there was the whole stink about what was legal and what wasn't when recording shows. Now with the internet people just don't seem to give a crap. I've seen so many photos here in people's albums that are obviously NOT taken by them. I didn't think the albums here were to share photos that you stole from someone else. Call me mean, hateful, spiteful whatever you like. At least I don't steal other people's work. Just because something exists doesn't mean you have the right to have it. My father is a photographer and while I don't speak to him if I saw one of his photos on someone else's album I can guarantee you that he would be informed of the theft. Sometimes I wonder if people have any morals left.

July 4th
This year the 4th is going to be just another day for us. My husband will probably have to work which is OK because we could always use the extra money. I'm not unhappy about having nothing to do this year though because later this month we'll get to do some fun things with family. My mom is coming back to Texas for a visit and she's bringing my nephews. We're planning to go to Six Flags and a baseball game so that should be a lot of fun. Hopefully I can also talk her into going to see the new Harry Potter movie with us so we don't have to wait for it to get to the discount theater.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July!

It's Really Sad
When the world mourns the loss of a person like Michael Jackson. I don't really care what he did for the music industry. When a person molests a child they should be punished for it not celebrated. Yes I know he was found "not guilty" but so was OJ Simpson and look at how many people still say he got away with murder. Growing up in an abusive household is no excuse to act like Michael did. I grew up with an abusive father and yet I still have morals and most of my sanity. It's really a shame that Michael's death overshadows Farrah Fawcett's now that is someone who should be mourned.

Re: I Just Don't Understand People
I agree with you for the most part. Anything which takes more than a few moments concentration and effort is not worth the effort by many people these days. Gone are the times when people actually took the time to even read a book let alone craft something of their own like a a picture. Ofcourse I'm talking in generalities. I do think there are more authentic people here on Goldtoken than the average website, but that's just my opinion.

I have avoided talking about him for the same reasons Pegasus. I had to really censor myself to write this blog entry because I wanted to get my thoughts out but not break any GT rules. I really hope that once he has been buried all the hype about him will die down.

Re: It's Really Sad
I feel the same way. I also grew up in an abusive household and have never done the things that Micheal Jackson was accused of. It is because of my views about Michael Jackson that have kept me from making comments on the discussion boards about him - my views tend to be rather passionate on the subject of those that abuse children.
