A Puppet Show
One of the things I like to do when I construct my Christmas village is try to create a story for the people. Here, for example, we see the puppeteer setting up his show in the village green next to the town's tree and his show has interested several people to stop and watch. Taken December 2017.

it's rare to see a display with an on-going activity happening.

by 'on-going', i don't mean a performance which is the object itself, but something on the way to being a spectacle, as in the setting up - i like the dog "trying to help" too !! Smiling

I use to do stuff like that and go all out on decorating.
But its just me now, no one here for the holidays. So I gave all my stuff to my daughter.
