@Kookaburra: Independence Day, but, that was really just the excuse to gather the extended family together for a summer picnic.

@Churchgoer: Thanks! I learned awhile ago that the Japanese word for fireworks mean fire flowers and, thinking about it, I decided that was a very apt description.
