Fall at the Ashtabula Lighthouse
The warm lingers along the lake but, by November, there's no denying that Ol' Man Winter is coming. Taken November 2016.

Re: Fall at the Ashtabula Lighthouse
My favorite. So much going on in this one. The gulls and crashing waves really set this off.

@Scheherizade: Thanks! You forgot the most important criteria for choosing it from the 30 or so ones I took that day - it's level.

I do not know why I have such problem with this view, maybe it's the wind and the standing in shifting sand and the threat of the waves getting me. I bet 80%-90% of the pictures I take here are unusable without first correcting the lean.

Re: Fall at the Ashtabula Lighthouse
My suggestion would be to use a monopod. When actual human steadying and leveling does not work, straighten it in Lightroom. Sometimes, even when I know I shot my picture level, I'll use LR to tweak it because, it just doesn't look right. I would enjoy, GREATLY, shooting from this spot. Oh, yes. Grinning
