NOW THAT IS WHAT I LOVE TO SEE! FIRST SNOW UPON RED FALL LEAVES. ARE THESE THE RESILIENT OAK LEAVES?

JAPANESE MAPLE! I GOT IT! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN FROM THE SHAPE OF THE MAPLE LEAF! I GREW UP WITH THEM IN CHICAGO AS A KID c.1950s EARLY 1960s!

@PEACH WINE: Thanks! I was thinking of you when I shot this picture. You asked awhile ago, on another picture I uploaded, if I had any pictures of snow on maple leaves and I knew if it snowed early enough that I could get a picture like this one. The wind almost blew all the snow off the leaves by the time the sun came up but there was this patch of snow on the east side of the tree that was protected.
