I Hear Corn Is On the Menu!
The crows are normally too shy to come in the warmer seasons but winter's snow convinces them to take the chance. Taken February 2015.

I love the crows! They stay year round here and chase away the hawks.

I dont think crows migrate. Ours are here year round too but like to keep their distance. We rarely get snow.

They do stay in the areas they are in, however ours don't always stay in our woods. We like having them there.

They r probably looking for food cause of the snow. They usually do not come all that close. Is this picture taken lately? We r getting our first few inches this fall.

@CATS GALORE: This picture was taken last February. I think they're calling for a little lake effect snow tonight but that's about it.

In the summer months we've got a few crows in the neighborhood but they rarely come to feed - sometimes the leftover bread pieces convince them to come - in the winter the crows group up and always seem to eventually make their appearance. They remain very skittish, if you move in front of a window (like when trying to take their picture) they'll fly away and then wait 10-15 minutes before coming back.

It's always a good thing when they're around because they keep the Cooper's Hawk away.

Trouble with that lake effect snow (approx. 2-3 inches last night) it doesn't stop here til spring. Down state, they were getting 12 inches & counting. Do u have to worry about hawks?
