Re:
A Venetian bridge, circa 1600, in the Troodos mountains in Cyprus. Not used now. There are, I think, about 6 in this stream.

Re:
It's at least 500 years old, so whether you go now, or in, say, 10 years time, it will still be exactly the same!

Re:
Because, places like this need to be experienced in person. To hear the water, to feel the age of the stone, to immerse oneself completely in the time and moment. The picture demands it.

Re:
Sadly, there are now very few small streams in Cyprus, they are now going to the new dams, so that when there is little rain, ie from February to December almost, we still get the gardens and the farming done. But very few of the houses have grass, it only dies in the summer anyway, so they have small stones instead, asious colours, bought from the builders merchants.

Re:
Unfortunately, if you are say American or Canadian, the only flights to either Larnaca or Paphos airport, ie Cyprus, are very expensive. You fly to Heathrow, which is London, or Amsterdam or any larger airplane, and then change planes and fly to Cyprus.

I like the colours, the shapes and the contrast between light and shade.

Re: Bridge in Cypress
Absolutely gorgeous!!! Thank you for all of your information. It is so wonderful to see it in pictures, perhaps someday I'll get there, too, but I'm thinking it will have to be after I've died & gone to heaven!
