I regret to inform you, that we will soon be adding a 50 move restriction for guests who are well over their game limit. The guest limit will only effect guests who have more than 30 ongoing games. Please note: If you are a guest, and have under 30 games, you will be able to move as much as you like. This change will take effect on April 15th.

This month GOLDTOKEN would like to send out a 
to a number of players.
Overwhelmed by so many players to thank, I couldn't pick just one this month. So this months "
special thank you" goes to GoldToken's creators, volunteers, programmers and players who have worked so hard to see our beloved GoldToken runs efficiently.
Most of you know that I came to play on GoldToken almost 11 years ago, after becoming disenchanted with the language and aggression allowed on other game sites. Here, I met GoldToken's original creators,
Taylor and
Chad. They dreamed of a unique gaming family/community that would be safe for families and built it upon a solid foundation of ideas.
I believe (but have been wrong before lol), that
Taylor and
Chad were the first to design mini sites known as "clubs" within a main site of the same setup. If GoldToken wasn't the first on the internet, we were at least the first game site to do so. The idea has since been copied many times over.
Chad had a growing family with growing needs and neither of the boys had the time to manage GoldToken any longer. Seeing this, I made an offer to buy GoldToken from Chad, and he gladly accepted. It was a match made in heaven and here I now sit at the helm of our beloved site. But without
Taylor and
Chad having created it, GoldToken would be nothing at all.
I have fun creating, designing, planning and working with incredible people who see GoldToken like I do, one big family.
firefly has solidly stood by my side since day one, and is closer to me than my own sisters. GoldToken is as much hers as it is mine, Chads and Taylor's in so many ways. She has taken on the graphics and managed the creation of Grabble, Xiphias and those wonderful
Goldies we all adore. GoldToken would not be what it is today without her.
Let us not forget
Matt, GoldToken's backbone. A professional in all aspects,
Matt takes on those who bully, cheat or what ever naughty behavior some think is ok. It is amazing how a very small few feel, for what ever reason, that it's ok to attack me, Firefly or our friendly volunteers who manage the support account. In comes Matt, our champion and hero. He rewrote the info pages, helped set site policies, and watches over everything when I am unavailable.
A self starter,
CATCHER211 has worked as a site volunteer for a couple years now, and is hugely instrumental in making decisions. She is extremely efficient and is a "right hand woman" to GoldToken's three site managers, picking up the slack when and where ever she finds it...I don't know what we would do without her!
Having the freedom to make GoldToken my vision too, I jumped in after the purchase, planning, designing, and the list of wants and needs has grown from a few months long to years upon years to complete - about five aught to get it where we can relax a little. Chad spent several years building admin tools to make our site management easier, and added features I requested before handing the code reins over to
Mecir who took to coding on a run. I can't remember a day since, that Mecir was not here for over 12 hours. What would we do without him??!!!
The list goes on. Each player who has helped build, answer questions, watch the boards, design games, make suggestions, has given so much of themselves to a site that has become more than just a place to play, but a second home to all who become smitten with what is GoldToken.
The beginning of this year, GoldToken became it's own entity, an LLC. The natural progression of things as more and more people find their way here. GoldToken spiritually belongs to us all, and will become what all of us make of it. I will never leave the helm, and Firefly, Matt, Chad, Taylor, Mecir, Catcher211, the volunteers, and so many more (you know who you are), all will always be permanent fixtures. You make GoldToken work and we would be lost without you! Such is life as part of the GoldToken family.

I first discovered GoldToken through my husband
evan in about 2001. By 2002 I had come to enjoy both the games and the people here. I took out my first membership - starting with Wood. However, I soon discovered that it wasn't enough and I upgraded to Silver and have moved my way through the memberships to now be happy and proud to be a Platinum member.
I am a member of several clubs, but my club home is { Club } which has made me feel welcome and has given me the opportunity and the trust to help contribute something to the club in return. Although I have never met any of my GT friends in person, I appreciate what you share with me and the trust and friendship you have given me, they are both very much appreciated.
To the admin team at GoldToken, thanks for creating and always improving such an awesome interactive and enjoyable place to spend some of my online time. You will never be financially compensated as well as you should be, for which I'm in a way grateful, as I never could afford it!
However, I am grateful for all the time, skills and love you invest in GT, to make it an enjoyable experience for all players.
My appreciation for GT is such that I now have my young daughter hooked as well. Not a day goes by that she is not playing games or administering challenges in the many clubs that she has joined and has helped create.
GT is a great family environment and I can't help but recommending it to anyone who enjoys playing board/card/other games. Keep up the great work and thanks for being here for me and many others to enjoy.
