Part of the rules seem to have been omitted. There's no reference to the "stacking" part, which is not a real problem if you've played one of the other stacking variants, but is a problem for someone who hasn't. I think this part of the "Stacking Crossdowns" rules should be added in the Play section:

Tiles may be played on the board in blank squares or on squares already occupied by other letter tiles, in which case the tile being played is placed on top of the tile already on the board, effectively replacing it. A tile cannot be replaced for another tile with the same letter on it. At least one tile must be played to an empty square before a move will be considered valid.

yes in the normal 4-player game then places get silver, but as you say in a team game one team wins the other loses

I am getting the same, gave over 500 messagesre game# 14157773. It relates to Gary run out of time but the take is not timing him out and still shows as his move.Message seems to be sent every 2-3 minutes.

GT has its own ideas about draws. You can offer/accept a draw in any game, even in games that normally cannot end in draw, such as backgammon and variants.

I raised this issue a while ago - If your team loses at Fire Spiller Toure Case Partners you receive a silver token when it should be a wooden one. I just lost a game and got a silver.

In this game you either win or lose, so only gold or wood tokens.

Hi not a game bug but a bug in my inbox I have received quite a number of messages (around 30!) about a game of team cribbage being a draw and I have used the link & none of the games are shown as finished. I have tried deleting the messages but they won't delete obviously some sort of bug if you can take a look thanks

It was actually my opponent (on turn 31) who was supposed to get the two flips, as he is out of tiles. He only got one flip (at D1), and said he didn't even chose that piece.

That's one of the symptoms.

The main bug is that the game didn't stop when I had 102 points.

It recognized a "final clue" which it posted explicitly, but then went on.

Some more info:

Looking at this game even closer, I also noticed that for the turns in question, while the game log was indicating "draw bone, pass" for each of my moves, it was not actually adding Bones to my hand - my hand stayed unchanged.

Meanwhile, my opponent was also showing "draw bone, pass" but their bone count was going up with each turn, until they drew a playable bone.

At the beginning of round 8, turn 176, my opponent ended their initial move with a double 12.
Turn 177, I made my initial move, but had a bone with a 12 on it left in my hand.
- my expectation was that my opponent would pick one bone, and if that was not a 12, then it would be my turn (178) to play my bone with a 12.
- instead, the system went back and forth picking bones for both of us, until my opponent picked a 12, and then they played it.
-- Thus the system picked bones on my behalf in turns 178 to 184, even tho I had a playable bone to satisfy the double 12.

This seems like a new behavior, as I've seen examples of this situation being played out correctly in the past. Please have a look.

I kept trying to play. I reloaded several times to no avail. I shut down and rebooted to no avail.
It wasn't letting me pick UP any of my pieces. Finally left it for a while and just tried again.
Not sure what happened, but I was finally able to pick up a piece and take my turn. Whatever
the "bug" was, it seems to have cleared up on it's own now. Problem solved... for now at least.

I have 'adjusted graphics* while viewing your game from Large squares to Small squares & count 10x10 with all the different sizes.

Try clearing your cache. CtrlShift+Delete simultaneously.

Once you do that it should solve the problem.

The above game was completed today with Gertess being declared the winner. The runs scored per inning (4 runs each) do not match up with the Total Runs scored
I have seen these irregularities in other That Baseball Game games
Is this an isolated problem or do other players see these glitches as well?

When I look at the game I don't see a 10x16 board, I se a 10x10 board, but with a stretched title. It seems the system tries to display "**YANKEE ROSE*JR FRANK PAB's board" on a small display and experiences a nervous breakdown, LOL.

It's probably just someone tinkering with the graphics display for this game

The second game with a bug is game #14224431. The same problem -
my opponent's grid is 10 x 16 squares on this game as well.

I don't think the problem is with my computer because I tried playing
on a different computer and there was still a problem with the display
on my opponent's grid. My grid displays correctly on both games.

I am suddenly having an issue with the display of my opponent's grid on Salvo game #14224432.
We actually have two games going, and this is one of them.

My grid is displaying correctly with 10 x 10 squares. My opponent's grid is showing 10 x 16 squares making it very difficult for me to take my turn. Could someone please help fix this bug?
When our games (there are two of them) first started the grids were displaying correctly, then suddenly yesterday the problem began.

I am using a Chromebook with Google OS.
I have no idea what "version" it is, or how to find that info.

My dice roll means I can move one rook, one pawn and two bishops.

It might be intentional - I originally believed that the dice would only choose between those pieces that can move but the rules state the dice will not choose pieces that are no longer on the board. No moves are mandatory so you I could have rolled four rooks and be unable to move.

I would like a clarification if this was intended or not, just for my piece of mind.

The object of the game is to move all of your pieces to the other end of the board before your opponent does. The other player is on the safe pip. This is where you stack the 3 men to win the game.

To post a picture from the ipad: Hit the button on the top right and then hit your home button at the same time. You get a screenshot. I took a picture with my ipad and it looks the same that rabbitod posted. So it's something happening with your ipad because it shows two fives on mine also.

Try Clearing Cache & cookies. It sounds like you are seeing a less than current version of the page. Ctrl F5 will clear the cash. Then you should see your double 5's. Thumbs up

I used the 2 to come off the bar which put me at R2
The 6, I moved R2 to R8
Another 6 I moved R8 to B11
And yes I did use the 5, Y6 to Y1

But at the top, it says to choose your next move, and no way to end my turn

This is now fixed.

It was a remarkably obscure bug - it triggered because the queen drop happened immediately after the g7->g5 move, and the game incorrectly thought that the h7 pawn can en-passant capture the white queen. Should be all fixed up now.

In game #13053251, I gave checkmate by dropping a figure onto the board. This was recognized by the program, and the game ended properly. I'm surprised that this more recent game did not end when checkmate was given in the same way (not with the same figure, though).

Secondary bug: once the queen was on the board giving checkmate, the software permitted the black move 27: hxg6 which makes no sense at all. The check is not resolved; the black pawn "captured" an empty field making the black pawn on g5 disappear. I guess that here the software was totally confused.

Note: this is a very special case, extremely rare, specific to the variant Chessgi. A piece is dropped on the board which renders the opposing king checkmate. The rules handle this case explicitely:

It is perfectly legal to drop a piece onto the board such that the opposing king is placed in check or even checkmate.

Apparently this possibility was foreseen, but incorrectly coded. The checkmate was not recognized by the software.

I have been noticing on several of my games that I am unable to move my "Flag Waving Monkey." I may be missing something but moving that piece is not only allowed but necessary to winning the game. Can anyone explain? I use Safari for Gold Token.

Okay. Go check it out. Mecir put it in place today. The "missed" graphic for the Yellow Board now has a red-ish opaque background that makes it clearly visible.
You may need to clear the cache when the pic is displayed to get the new one to show if it doesn't immediately...

I do not have an iPhone but I do use an iPad. Funny that the beta site messes up with Apple products but GoldToken’s main site does not. Good thing I have a Nokia smart phone (no desktop of any sort since some time in 2020) with an itsy bitsy screen to use for the Beta site lol. Changing to my phone worked. Will need to remember to go to beta on my phone each day.

I am playing games of tic tac stack, that fast baseball game and relic rush. And no matter which save button I click on, the beta site acts like I have not clicked on any of the save buttons. This makes all of these games unplayable.

So this report never got responded to... but I have another example of this behavior which I believe is incorrect.

Game#14099037 - End of round 1, Turn 50 - after I played 8-12, my opponent should have been forced to pass a turn, and mark his train. This did not happen.

It appears that his turn was skipped over entirely (51). After that, I could only play the 8-10, and the game ended with each of us with one tile, and I won a net 5 points. However, if my opponent's train was marked in the previous move as per the rules, I could have also played my final tile (5-3), and won 13 points.

Once again, I will cite the rule “If a player passes the move due to not being able to play, their train becomes marked” – which should apply in this case, but it is not how the game behaves. The turn is skipped instead of forcing a pass and marking the train.

The colours in salvo games: I have a real problem seeing the yellow board in the default graphics: the "miss" symbol is transparent light grey (white? not sure) on yellow, the "hit" is orange on yellow. Both are really not ideal.

I had to go to adjust graphics and revert to the "classic" graphics (instead of "modern") to ease the strain on the eyes, but it's a pity, the modern graphics are prettier. I'm sure that if someone could experiment a bit with the colours a better combination of foreground/background can be found.

I can't obviously see what you have drawn, as you haven't done your move 49.

I am unsure if this is a bug or if I have missed something.

On my opponent's Turn 48 they have drawn the 5 of clubs and used this to move a piece out of start swapping it with one of my pieces sending it back to the start.

On my 49th turn I appear to have also drawn the 5 of clubs but cannot use it to swap my piece out of start. I can use it to move another piece 5 places forward.

So, first off I appear to have drawn the same card that my opponent had. And secondly I am not able to use it.

You are not in a position to place a draw. Move the pieces that you can. Then near the top of your game is a link that says "Choose the piece you would like to move. You can also end the move." click the link to end the move.

It is really unavoidable. I have the same fear of mistakes when I do the Olympics. Check, re-check wait a day and check again, and still a freak mistake will creep in. Mecir's tournament definition form is really quite good but it's still manual and it has to be, since we need to play around with the parameters.

I have just checked the two presently-forming slowpoke tournaments, Jan 2024 and Mar 2024, and they both have the proper time control.
And I shall be sure to doublecheck all future slowpoke tourneys, accent on double, to make sure the same error is not repeated.

Not deliberately, just a screw-up, and it cannot be corrected now that the event has already begun.

That's not a bug, it is a mistake made while setting up the tournament. The Nov 2023 — 3-week round robin — SLOWPOKE Tournament was set up with a 3 day timeout. As far as I know this can no longer be corrected once the tournament has started.

it's reset all the pieces to the start.
It's also asking if I want to pass back to a player no longer in the game, I tried that and it put all he pieces to the final position and ended in a draw again.

In this game #14090484 I am on the bar.
I have thrown a 3 & 6.
I am able to play the 3 & knock an opponent to the bar.
Doing this there is no way for me to move 6.

I do get the option to save the move without using the 6.

Usually in 'Gammon games you Must use both dice if possible & in this game I can use both dice or just one & save.

If you look at line (or turn) 3 there is a Jack of Hearts played by me, but at Line 5 there is a Jack of hearts played by Marcmandy?

Also when you use the arrows to look at past moves (because I thought I was losing my mind as I couldn't work out the tricks in lines 3, 4, 5 and 6) shobee plays six of hearts but actually no cards are played by the rest of us after that until it comes back to shobee who plays the two of spades. (you have to use the playback to see this). The duplicate Jack of Hearts is played as part of this odd behaviour.

So to summarise:
  • duplicate card has been played if you look at the the record of the game on the right side of the games board
  • however if you use the playback buttons, it seems that three players did not get a turn at all and play skipped on. Shobee would not have known we had not played because there were turns showing in the game record.

At least one other player in the game has looked at this and I have cleared my cache to check its not a display issue.

Funny, I've been here 23 years and it's the first time I remember being in this situation. I think my opponent looked at the board and the score and decided to pass. Naturally I passed, too assuming the game would end. We both then passed several times before I saw the pattern and brought my questions here

Whatever. Passing is like saying "I can't find a valid word". The pass is accepted as a move. When the opponent passes too, his pass is also accepted. So what does the software do? it tells you "your opponent passed, therefore you must have a valid word". Not very logical Smiling

There are 9 tiles in the pool to trade with. The only other way is to accept a draw or resign. Looking at that board I find it very hard to believe there are no words left to be made. Could be wrong though!

Once the boneyard runs out, if a player does not have a bone they can play, it seems that their turn gets skipped, rather than a pass. The effect here is subtle, but real.

In this situation, if a player has an unmarked train, but not the bone to play on it, that train effectively becomes unplayable – The other player who holds that bone cannot play it as the train is unmarked. This prevents their train from becoming marked for the remainder of the round. This leads to some inappropriate end-of-round behaviors.

I believe the correct behavior in this case is the player would pass their turn, and their train would become marked at this point. I have tried looking up rules online, and only found one that addresses this situation specifically, but others basically indicate that if a player cannot play (whether they can still draw or not) then their train should be marked at that point.

The rule listed on the GT site says “If a player passes the move due to not being able to play, their train becomes marked” – which should apply in this case, but it is not how the game behaves. The turn is skipped instead of forcing a pass and marking the train.

I have seen this happen a number times, but for an example, look at game #14051955, at the end of round 1, turns 52-53.
